My Campaign

Affordable Year Round Housing

My goal: Keep Narragansett a community where the people who work here, grew up here, and want to build their future here can actually afford to live. As a young resident, I understand the challenges facing my generation and believe we need practical solutions that preserve our town while creating opportunities for current and future residents.

My Priorities

  • Expand affordable and workforce housing opportunities for local residents.

  • Increase housing options for young adults, families, seniors, and essential workers.

  • Support responsible zoning policies that balance housing needs with neighborhood character.

  • Protect neighborhoods from excessive conversion of homes into short-term and vacation rentals.

  • Address the impact of short-term rentals on housing availability and community stability.

  • Partner with state, nonprofit, and private organizations to secure housing resources and funding.

  • Promote incentives for long-term, year-round rentals.

  • Support housing options that allow seniors to remain in Narragansett.

  • Ensure housing growth is accompanied by proper planning and infrastructure improvements.

Revitalizing Local Businesses

My goal: Create a thriving year-round economy where local businesses can succeed, residents can find good jobs close to home, and Narragansett remains a community, not just a seasonal destination. By supporting entrepreneurship, responsible growth, and local investment, we can strengthen our economy while preserving the character and charm that make our town unique.

My Priorities

  • Support local businesses that contribute to Narragansett's economy and community character.

  • Encourage year-round economic activity, not just seasonal tourism.

  • Streamline town processes and reduce unnecessary barriers for small businesses.

  • Promote the growth of locally owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

  • Foster partnerships between businesses, schools, and community organizations.

  • Support efforts to attract and retain a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, and services for residents.

  • Advocate for policies that create local job opportunities and support economic growth.

  • Ensure residents and business owners have a voice in decisions that affect the local economy.

Strengthening the School Enrollment

My goal: Strengthen and sustain Narragansett’s schools so they continue to serve local students, and can remain a key reason families choose to live here. By addressing enrollment challenges and supporting policies that make the town more family friendly, we can help ensure long-term stability and success for our schools. I graduated from Narragansett High School just three years ago, and I can offer a firsthand perspective on the strengths these schools have to offer.

My Priorities

  • Support policies that help attract and retain year-round families in Narragansett.

  • Promote housing opportunities that make it easier for young families to live in town.

  • Ensure our schools remain well-funded and equipped to provide a high-quality education.

  • Strengthen partnerships between the Town Council, School Committee, and community organizations.

  • Support programs and opportunities that make Narragansett an attractive place for families to raise children.

  • Protect school programs, extracurricular activities, and educational opportunities that benefit students.

  • Recognize the connection between housing, economic development, and school enrollment trends.

Water Quality and Sewage Concerns

My goal: Protect and restore the long-term health of Narragansett’s waters and neighborhoods by directly addressing infrastructure failures, wastewater issues, and the odor problems that impact residents’ quality of life.

My Priorities

  • Protect Narragansett’s beaches, ponds, and coastal waters from pollution and environmental decline.

  • Address wastewater and sewage system issues that can contribute to odors and water quality problems.

  • Improve monitoring and maintenance of water infrastructure to prevent overflows and contamination.

  • Support upgrades and long-term investment in wastewater and stormwater systems.

  • Increase transparency and public communication around water quality issues and solutions.

  • Prioritize solutions that protect both public health and the local economy, including tourism and recreation.

  • Support sustainable development practices that reduce environmental impact on coastal resources.

  • Ensure rapid response and accountability when environmental issues arise.

Coastal Access for Residents

My goal: Keep Narragansett’s coastline accessible, enjoyable, and well-managed for the people who call this town home. By improving parking technology, investing in access infrastructure, and prioritizing resident use, we can reduce congestion, and ensure everyone can continue to enjoy our beaches and coastal resources.

My Priorities

  • Protect and improve public access to Narragansett’s beaches and coastal areas.

  • Prioritize resident access while balancing the needs of visitors and tourism.

  • Support formulating a real-time parking management system on the town website so residents and visitors can easily view parking availability before traveling to the beach.

  • Improve parking management to reduce congestion and neighborhood traffic.

  • Invest in infrastructure that enhances beach access, including sidewalks, bike access, and pedestrian safety.

  • Preserve public rights-of-way and maintain access points for future generations.

  • Work with local and state partners to improve transportation options to coastal areas.

  • Ensure beach facilities and public spaces remain clean, safe, and accessible.

  • Use data-driven solutions to better manage peak-season demand without limiting resident enjoyment.

  • Protect the natural beauty of Narragansett’s coastline while improving the overall visitor and resident experience.

URI-Town Housing Partnership

My goal: Create a stronger partnership between Narragansett and URI that is guided by facts, transparency, and shared responsibility. By creating and reviewing a public Housing/Enrollment Data Dashboard every quarter, the Town Council can make informed decisions, measure progress, and develop housing policies that support year-round residents, students, local businesses, and the long-term health of our community.

My Priorities

  • Strengthen collaboration between the Town of Narragansett and the University of Rhode Island to address shared housing challenges.

  • Develop a quarterly Housing/Enrollment Data Dashboard to provide transparent, data-driven updates for residents and policymakers.

  • Track year-round housing availability, including owner-occupied homes and long-term rental inventory.

  • Review student housing occupancy and enrollment trends to better anticipate housing demand.

  • Analyze rental rates, home prices, and affordability metrics to identify emerging issues.

  • Track new housing development, building permits, and affordable housing production.

  • Share code enforcement and housing compliance data to promote safe and responsible housing.

  • Use dashboard data to evaluate policies and adjust strategies based on measurable results rather than assumptions.

Government Accessibility

My goal: Build a more transparent, accessible, and connected local government where every resident can easily stay informed and engaged. By modernizing communication through clear digital resources and informational social media platforms, we can ensure residents of all ages, especially younger generations, have the information they need to participate in their community and stay connected to the decisions that shape Narragansett.

My Priorities

  • Increase transparency and make town government easier for every resident to access and understand.

  • Expand the town's informational social media presence on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram to better reach younger residents and busy families.

  • Use social media to share meeting agendas, project updates, public notices, community events, and important deadlines.

  • Keep official social media pages focused on providing information and resources—not public debate or political discussion.

  • Improve access to meeting recordings, agendas, and documents.

  • Promote open communication between residents and town officials while ensuring all voices have opportunities to be heard through appropriate public channels.

  • Make local government more approachable for first-time voters, young adults, and new residents.

Stronger Code of Conduct for Elected Officials

My goal: Build a Town Council that earns the public’s trust through transparency, ethical leadership, and accountability. Residents deserve officials who make decisions based solely on what is best for Narragansett, openly disclose conflicts of interest, and conduct themselves with professionalism, respect, and integrity at all times.

My Priorities

  • Treat fellow council members, town staff, and residents with respect, even when disagreements arise.

  • Encourage civil, productive discussions focused on solutions rather than personal attacks.

  • Require full transparency and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest and ensure officials recuse themselves from decisions where personal, financial, or business interests could influence, or appear to influence their judgment.

  • Uphold and strengthen ethics standards that put the public interest ahead of personal gain.

  • Increase transparency by clearly communicating decisions and the reasoning behind them.

  • Ensure public meetings remain respectful, welcoming, and accessible to all residents.

  • Support ongoing ethics and governance training for elected officials.

  • Hold elected leaders to the highest standards of honesty, fairness, and accountability.

Water Supply and Drought Resilience

My goal: Develop a proactive approach to water management that protects Narragansett from the growing impacts of drought while ensuring a reliable water supply for residents and businesses. • Ensure future development considers available water capacity and sustainable growth.

  • Explore the use of drought-resistant landscaping and efficient irrigation practices on public properties.

  • Increase transparency by providing residents with clear updates on water conditions and conservation efforts.

  • Balance the needs of residents, businesses, agriculture, and environmental resources when making water policy decisions.
